Application:
Viva Pris contains alkali, dispersing and complexing agents and can be used as basic
detergent in pre-wash or as booster in pre-wash and main wash.
In addition thereto, when using as basic detergent, surfactants should be introduced
into the bath via a grease solubilizer, e.g. Viva Oleo, Viva Syntho or Viva Combi The
surfactant serves as wetter for quick and uniform wetting of the goods and of stain
substances. Initial pre-wash phase to be started at a temperature of 104° F and
continued in the second step at 140 – 176° F. Initial pre-wash phase can be started
immediately at 140° – 194° F provided there are no albuminous stains.
The disinfection process with Viva Pris and Viva Duox offers a good low price
alternative to the chemo-thermal laundry disinfection. It is absolutely necessary to
exactly meet the proportion of Viva Pris related to Viva Duox as an alteration of the
ratio will negatively impair the disinfectant action.
Due to the good buffering, over-dosage should be avoided in order to obtain an
optimum pH–value in the main wash for the respective bleach. In case of using Viva
Oxy,this should be approx. pH 9,5 and, in case of using Viva Superox, approx.
pH 10,5.
In case of washing whites, a product with optical brightener must be used in the main
wash. In exceptional cases. Viva Pris can be used with an oxygen bleach and Viva
Brillant in the main wash.
Viva Pris can be used in cases of existence of unusually high water hardness or higher
concentrations of heavy metals due to the use of well or surface water. Viva Pris binds
up to 0,41 mmol of calcium carbonate per gram.
